Transitional Kindergarten
Meet Our TK Teachers

Mrs. Christine Hardison
I am so excited to be teaching Transitional Kindergarten! It feels like coming full circle because my teaching career began in 1990. I love helping our youngest learners build confidence, discover new things, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
I began teaching with Conejo Valley Unified School District in 2006 and joined the Cypress Elementary family in 2014. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to teach 5th grade, 3rd grade, and now TK. Each grade level has been a wonderful experience, but I am thrilled to be back working with our youngest students.
My family has deep roots in Conejo Valley Unified. My husband and I are both proud CVUSD graduates, and our two daughters also attended and graduated from CVUSD schools. It has been a privilege to experience our district as both a parent and an educator.
When I'm not at school, you'll most likely find me mountain biking, on the golf course, or at a concert. I love being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Teaching is one of my greatest passions, and I genuinely look forward to coming to school each day. I am grateful to be part of the wonderful Cypress community.
Ms. Alison Bahr
My name is Alison Bahr. I was born in the former Panama Canal Zone, and it was where I spent my early childhood. My family then moved to Northern Virginia and on to Thousand Oaks. I graduated from Westlake High School, earned my BS degree from Cal Poly SLO, earned my teaching credential from Cal Lutheran University, and earned my Master's Degree from Grand Canyon University. I have been a teacher in the CVUSD for 22 years. In those years, I taught 3rd and 4th grade and have been teaching TK in the district since 2011. I have two sons, and I enjoy spending time with them, my sister and her family and my mother. I am excited to be joining the Cypress team and am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
